“Narchitektur” presented by Visual Artist Sige Nagels, for the exhibition ‘Dear 2050: Humans respond to climate change’, organized by Climanosco, Oct. 24 – Nov. 6, St Annagasse 11, Zürich, 2020
Join Sige on a walk through Zürich where she takes you into the near future, where her architect’s and artist’s design answers and addresses climate change.
Just like nature carries Zürich, this installation carries 3d compositions of architecture & nature of nine locations in the heart of the city. Combined with painting & collage, this experience opens doors in your mind, making you hold on to these imaginations and visualizations of how we can evolve our cities into sustainable versions for our children and for nature.
Walking the streets of Zürich afterward will make you see this new reality of ‘’Narchitektur’’ for yourself. You’ll want to share stories of your favorite look-throughs with your beloved ones! It will make your dream almost real, you can touch it with your bare hands, and act upon it more.
The art installation was exhibited afterward on the rooftop of Hotel Sedartis, presenting my hometown Thalwil with this vision on the 21st of November, 2020.
Since then already several exhibitions were set up.

Langstrasse + SBB Depot, Zürich: Über diesem grossen Rangierbahnhof habe ich einen riesigen Park angelegt, der normalerweise für das Fahren und Rangieren von Zügen genutzt wird. Die Belohnung ist massiv, weil dieses Gebiet so gross ist. Es hat viele Vorteile dieses riesige logistische Gebiet als Träger für ein Vordach zu nutzen.
Diese riesige Grünzone mit Bäumen und Sträuchern wird die Abkühlung der Stadt im heissen Sommer unterstützen. Hänge schaffen einen Spielplatz für Kinder, die für die Lokführer Licht auf die Gleise reissen. Diese Landschaft lädt als grüner Teppich in Richtung der Schweizer Alpen zur Freizeit und Erholung ein.
Ich sehe faule Sonntagsspaziergänge mit Ihrem Hund, während Sie Ihre Mutter über Ihr Privatleben auf dem Laufenden halten.
Ich sehe kleine Kinder mit ihren ersten Fahrrädern, die auf kleinen Hängen fahren, als würden sie einen riesigen Hügel hinunter jagen.

Langstrasse + SBB Depot, Zürich: I created a massive park over this large switching yard of tracks, normally used for riding and shunting trains. The reward is massive because this area is this large. Turning this giant logistically area into a carrier for a canopy.
This huge green zone with trees and bushes will support the city cooling in hot summer. Slopes create a playground for children, tearing light upon the tracks for the train conductors. This landscape invites leisure and recovery as a green carpet heading towards the Swiss Alps.
I see lazy Sunday walks with your dog, while you are updating your mum on your personal life. I see small children with their first bikes riding small slopes as if they were chasing down an enormous hill.
